It is the most ~colorful~ time of the year! Well, at least in the world of landscaping! September is already starting to bring us those beautiful red, orange, and yellow leaves that compliment the chilly evening breezes. So what other colors can you add to your home landscape?

  • Foliage: This one may be a bit difficult if you don’t have any large trees near your home, but foliage on the trees always creates that picture perfect feel of fall! There is just something about those colors that bring out the beauty of the home.
  • Pumpkins: Maybe you have been preparing for pumpkin carving with the family and you have already planted your pumpkin seeds so they are ready by Halloween. Great! If you haven’t, there are some types of pumpkins that can grow rapidly if in the right environment. But if you don’t want to wait to put those orange gourds on the porch, head on over to your local hardware store or grocer. There’s no shame in that!
  • Strawflowers: These flowers scream fall! Get it..scream…nevermind. With the black outer edges contrasting from the bright yellow center, strawflowers grow well in sunny flower beds and will stick around for years to come.
  • Burning bush: Have a large space that you want to fill? A burning bush would be the perfect filler! With its beautiful crimson colors, this bush is sure to add a little extra pop to your home. Keep in mind that it enjoys partial sun.
